Checking In With Nurse Brennan: “What Places Are You Most Excited To Explore In The USA?”
While much of your excitement when immigrating to the USA will be towards working in your new role as a Medliant USRN under Green Card Visa Sponsorship, you will also have the opportunity to explore and see different places across the country with your friends and family.
You may be excited to visit big cities, small beach towns along the ocean, or the Rocky Mountains for example. Or perhaps, you will want to visit locations with great shopping, like the Mall of America in Minnesota or take a walk down Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. Maybe you will want to go to an amusement park like the many Six Flags locations scattered across the USA or specifically to Disney Land in California or Disney World in Florida. There is no limit to the places you can explore and the things you can do as a Medliant USRN.
For me, I couldn’t wait to explore some of the major cities on my days off which included Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Nashville, Orlando, Phoenix, Las Vegas, etc. But I also found myself excited to explore the little towns and cities in my own area that I had never even heard of before I immigrated to the USA. To me, this became equally as exciting getting a coffee and taking my puppy on a road trip to neighboring towns, cities, or counties for a walk or to try a new restaurant. As a result, I was able to join a recreational hockey team, discover new music festivals and concert venues, find great hikes, take in an endless amount of sporting events, and make new friends along the way who enjoy similar passions. And when my parents or friends are able to visit, I have always been able to show them new places to see as well, which I truly enjoy doing.
The places that I would still love to see and explore include Austin, New York, Miami, Chicago, Denver, New Orleans, Memphis, Dallas, and Houston, among others. While many may not even think about it, being in North America now gives you access to easily travel to other destinations in North America too, like Canada and Mexico. Perhaps you may want to explore Vancouver, Banff, Toronto, or Montreal in Canada, or visit Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, or Cabo for a relaxing beach vacation Mexico. The opportunities for adventure are endless in the USA and in North America.
Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new restaurants, activities, or adventures. You will quickly learn what you like and don’t like, and find some of your new favorite spots and things to do along the way!
